In Dragondrums she is viewed from afar. He becomes a drum apprentice, but while there he is treated really poorly and ends up pretty badly hurt after a fall caused by others. One day, Menolly comes to get Piemur, telling him they will be attending a Gather at Igen Holdwhere he will be disguised as a scruffy apprentice and listen out for any conversations involving the Oldtimers.

Even favorites characters from earlier in the series who make an appearance here are flat and contribute little to the story.

This is a good story and I can’t help but like Piemur who has a big heart.
Fortunately I like Piemur and enjoy reading about his adventures, but he’s dragondrum different from Menolly. When he wakes, and goes to the apprentice’s rooms, dtagondrums finds the other drum apprentices have soiled his clothing and sleeping furs. Also I think draglndrums book works better if you’ve read enough of the Dragonrider books to understand what’s happening on the Southern continent and what the pro I understand why this book disappoints a lot of readers.
