One of the many plays I’ve read for class this semester, but it’s great. Far Away by Caryl Churchill. The main theme of “Far Away” is fear. He claims that he is going to talk about the brother-in-law and hint at the possibility of leaking information to friend of his who is a journalist. She describes a world where ALL is encompassed in this forever war that shows no signs of ending as technology gets more and more shocking.

Joan wants to know more, but Todd doesn’t want to talk about it at work. This is the best representation of a play about war without being about a particular war. Woodyard rated it really liked it. The book is a 3-act play which takes place over a number of years. Towards the end of this section there is a procession of prisoners wearing hats, on their way to their execution.
