Since I’m more into film photography than inferior digital photography methods, this book really appealed to me, but it also has detailed text, how-to instructions, photographic examples and illustrations to get the most out of your photos and important moments. That still sort of bugs me and seems counter-intuitive, but I think I at least understand now. Black and White Photography: The book got me thinking about contrast, composition, lighting, and range of focus, which is important no matter what kind of photography you’re into. Photographhy glad I read the chapter on black and white film, for example, because it had good information on ISO, which is actually still something you uorenstein set on a digital camera.
